Manchester United were urged to sell Joshua Zirkzee this summer after his poor performance against Sunderland.
Zirkzee struggled to get playing time under Michael Carrick, but rarely got the chance to start because Benjamin Sesko was injured and Bryan Mbeumo was not in good form.
However, the Dutch player failed to take advantage of the opportunity, appearing expressionless before being withdrawn in the 65th minute.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit from Old Trafford this summer, and former Sunderland man Micky Gray believes the Dutchman is ‘not a Man United player’.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Gray said: ‘For the life of me I don’t know how Bryan Mbeumo didn’t come on at half-time for Joshua Zirkzee.
“He’s not a Man United player. I’m sorry to say, but everything bounces off him as a striker.
‘He’s a big guy, but for someone as big, tall, and strong as him, he’s very weak.
“And I can’t believe he’s actually still playing for Manchester United. I think he’s one of those players you want to leave in the summer.”
Paul Merson also believes that Zirkzee may be out in the summer, but said that United’s 0-0 draw with Sunderland showed how much depth the Red Devils need to add to their squad during the summer transfer window.
“It wasn’t a good result,” he told Sky Sports. “It wasn’t a good performance. What happened is worrying for next season.
“This season, I said before, they only played once a week. Now, suddenly, you know, next season, they will play in the Champions League and their squad looks very shallow.
‘Mason Mount played in central midfield today with Mainoo. Zirkzee up front, sorry, but I don’t think he’ll do it for Man United. So he will most likely be transferred. So it just shows where they are.
‘So that would be a worry for them. They need to invest in some players. If not, they will fight for the top four next season.”
Merson continued: ‘They have to buy midfield players, the best and best midfield players. One that comes to mind is [Elliot] Anderson, but Anderson is still young.
“They don’t have a centre-forward. I mean, Sesko plays up front, but they still need another one because Zirkzee, for me, in my opinion, hasn’t got it. I think he’s a good player, but I don’t think this is the right club for him.
“But they need to get something done because I think next season, watching it today, and I don’t want to take anything away from Sunderland because I think Sunderland are really good.
‘But they have to invest and I don’t know how that will work with fair play rules, how much they can invest, but they need some players.’

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
