Thatcham Town will start a new manager search after Yashwa Romeo confirmed his departure.
Kingfishers, the winner of VAS FA in 2018, was revealed from step 4 last season after struggling to adapt to life in the southern league.
The club was transferred from the Isthmian League in the summer of 2024 where they had shown routine improvements.
Now the team will return to compete in step 5 in the Premier Division of the South Joint Regency League.
In a statement released on social media, Romeo – former striker Maidenhead United and Marlow – said: “With a hard heart that my time at that Town has ended. We have agreed to separate each other. This is the right time for others to take over. Thank you to all fans and that of Ultras who followed us and at home.”
The news appeared a few days after the announcement that Phil Hlodaway had been appointed as the chairman of the Acting Acting after Paul Ayres’s departure.
A statement says: “Phil brought a strong leadership & experience to guide the club during this transition period when we searched for a permanent chairman.”
