A series of our articles in Burnley ended with seeing the option to attack Clarets.
Profile of Manager Scott Parker and transmission of Burnley’s defense assets preceded this section.
To get a fan perspective, we have included insights from Adam Dennett from Podcast No No Never which is extraordinary.
Statistics in this section are taken from whoscored and fbref.
What is the potential for Burnley goal scorer on FPL?

The goal was not really flowing for Burnley in 2024/25, because of their 69 goals their return was dwarfed by 95 Leeds United.
For the underlying statistics, Clarets tried 198 shots less than the champion and only medium in terms of the expected goals (XG).
Total 2024/25 (rank V of other championship clubs) | |

Goals scored | 69 (3) |

Efforts from Drama Set | 154 (17) |
Efforts from counterattacks | 20 (20) |
Expected Objectives (XG) | 57.5 (10) |
Parker’s reputation for ownership -based football which was measured was reflected in a low counterattack.
Claret also raises a slight threat from the set-piece situation as well.
It might be fair to say that Burnley defenders will be very interesting for the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) manager in 2025/26 than their players further ahead.
Who said, Burnley did increase the threat of their attacks afterwards Marcus Edwards Arriving from Sporting CP in January, netted 30 goals in their last 13 matches.
“The big part of the transformation is the signing of Marcus Edwards from Sporting in January. Its quality in the ball gives the opposition of something to think about and make a difference in our previous one -dimensional attack. Josh Brownhill, Jaidon Anthony and Zian Flemming are the biggest beneficiaries of the extra space given. I did not say that we would be able to imitate this in the Premier League, but of course giving us hope. “ – Adam Dennett
The Parker team will only focus on surviving next season, with a very important home match against Sunderland at Gameweek 2 which is likely to shape their campaign.

*No longer at the club
Josh Brownhill

Only one player in the championship scored more goals than Josh Brownhill at 2024/25.
Box-to-box midfielder, who also developed in a slightly more advanced role under Parker, completed the season as Burnley’s top scorer, with 18. He also donated six assists.
Brownhill ended the season with a style with a goal clamp against Millwall, but it could be his last appearance for the club, because his contract would end at the end of the month.
With a penalty (he took and scored three in 2024/25), with a free kick too, Brownhill produced 63 shots. Two teammates, Jaidon Anthony And Zian FlemmingBoth exceeded the total, with 97 and 79 each.
Likewise, 49 key operands are significantly lower than Anthony’s 81.
In addition, there is better performance in the expected goals, netting 18 times even though XG is only 9.9.
Which said, the Brownhill intelligent movement, the ability to crash into a box and shape overload, both centrally and outside, should not be ignored.
“He is the driving force in this team, he has a brilliant box habit and he is always in and around the right area.” – Scott Parker on Josh Brownhill
With Burnley making steps up to the top, Brownhill may be pushed deeper, but running on time into the box can still produce goals.
As a midfield enabler, he may need to be respected at a price of £ 4.5 million to take interest in real fantasy, if he remains at the club, of course.
Jaidon Anthony/Marcus Edwards

Wing player Jaidon Anthony was directly involved in 15 goals last season, scored eight times in 43 matches.
The Porjok-Taken also gave seven assists from 81 key operands, the second most in the championship, highlighting its position as one of the most creative players divisions.
Playing consistently under Parker, who manages it in Bournemouth, Anthony mostly lined up on the right half of the campaign, where he struggled to force him.
The arrival of Edwards in January resolved the problem, because it meant that Anthony could shift to the left, where he could cut into his stronger right leg.
Since then onwards, he pocketed five goals and four assists in 13 matches.
Edwards, meanwhile, was the signing of a surprise loan from Sporting CP, a step, such as Anthony, since then made permanently.
His presence turned Burnley into a much stronger unit, with his talent to float inside and attract defenders to open space for others.
“Marcus has brought quality in the final third for us, he scored several goals, he pulled the players, the opposition was alert in attracting two or three and we opened space elsewhere. He has individual quality too, so he brought him here and I understand what Marcus will bring to us and us as a team. I know he increases us. – Scott Parker at Marcus Edwards
Regular starter during Run-in, Edwards only produced one goal and one assist in 14 appearances, registering 18 shots and 12 key operands.
Even with a price of £ 5.0 million/£ 5.5 million, Edwards needs to seriously increase the output to become a fantasy option.
Minute | Target | Assist | Shot per game | Key pass per game | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Anthony | 3,675 | 8 | 7 | 2.3 | 1.9 |
Edwards | 946 | 1 | 1 | 1.3 | 0.9 |
Brownhill | 3,483 | 18 | 6 | 1.6 | 1.2 |
Zian Flemming

Zian Flemming scored 12 goals and gave four assists in 27 championships and several sub -appearances last season.
The Dutch, who developed as a midfielder attacked at the previous club Millwall, mostly played as number nine under Parker.
He has no creativity (0.7 key operands per game), but on average only under three shots per 90 is the best level of each Burnley player. He also took a free kick.
Admittedly, the output of the destination flemming is less desirable than leeds’ Joel Piroewhich reached 19 times last season. However, it should be noted that nine of his 12 goals arrived on the road, where opponents were far more likely to attack Burnley.
“This might not be a coincidence. I think it might be the dynamics of the game and what we face. I think it might be very different. You leave home, maybe the game is a little more open. The teams come a little more and there may be many things that are reduced. Flem.” – Scott Parker on Zian Flemming
Flemming may benefit from more space to be exploited at the top, then, although Parker can target the new blackout this summer.
Lyle FosterMeanwhile, failed to take a regular place in the first XI during Run-in, collected only two starts in the last 13 matches.
“… it would be very good to add a striker to compete with Flemming and Foster. Maybe there is also a brownill-shaped hole to fill in the coming weeks! I hope Parker will bring the head of an experienced Premier League to mingle with a young squad and maintain what has become a very good team’s spirit since he took control at Turf Moor.” – Adam Dennett
Other options
Because of the role of the deep midfield, Josh Cullen Maybe it won’t make a piece as a fantasy asset, after producing 23 shots and 36 key operands in 44 matches last season.
Hannibal Mejbri And Josh LaurentMeanwhile, offering different attributes, with Parker often switched between the two depending on the opponent.
Hannibal, the more options attack, on average only 0.9 shots and 0.8 key operands per match.
“Parker does not rotate for the sake of it, but indeed makes routine changes in several positions, especially in midfield, with Hannibal and Josh Laurent spinning depending on the opponent.” – Adam Dennett
Wing player Luca Koleosho Fighting for a regular match under Parker last season. While he made 28 league appearances, the young man started only one championship match in 2025.
Another winger, Manuel BensonMost injured, making only three sub -appearances of the sub.
Zeki Amdouniwho scored five goals for Burnley in their last season at the top, loaned to Benfica in 2024/25. As part of the agreement, the Portuguese giant has an option to make a permanent movement, although it has not been revealed if the clause will be triggered.
People like Han-Noah Massengo, Andres Hountondji, Darko Churlinov And Michael Obafemi Also returning from each loan offer, although it still needs to be seen whether they are part of Parker’s plan.
Veteran attacker Ashley Barnes run out of contract this summer.
Jonjo Shelvey And Nathan Redmond has been released.
