Who has the best short-term offensive + defensive FPL schedule?

Just one Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline ago, we checked the general status regarding the match schedule.

So, this time, let’s divide the six-game week study into defense and attack, where there are differences in the teams targeted.

This is especially useful for Wildcard Gameweek 8 users, as implementing such coverage can allow free transfers to increase. And it is known that all managers will have five managers ahead of Gameweek 16.

ATTACKERS: SIX WEEKS OF MATCHES

ARMORY

In Zophar’s words, Arsenal smelled the blood of Liverpool and Manchester City’s poor results and quickly established themselves at the top of the league, despite facing a tough-looking early game.

Despite the confusing penalty situation, managers should aim for both Bukayo from (£9.9 million) or Victor (£9.1m), because both look good.

Saka offers plenty of ways to get points, while summer signing Gyokeres is third for box shots (15) and has amassed six big chances.

BRIGHTON + HOVE ALBION

On the south coast, Brighton have the third best goals tally (xG, 11.36). But their problem, from an FPL perspective, is squad depth.

Yankuba Minteh (£6.0m) is the only midfielder or striker to start all seven games, but not both Georgia Rutter (£5.7m) Neither Danny Welbeck (£6.3m) exceeded four of them.

WOLVERHAMPTON RETURNS

The Seagulls were the latest team to deny Wolverhampton Wanderers a 1-0 win by equalizing late in the match. The last-placed team has improved a bit, but it’s hard to prove it when they have the fewest goals (five) and the most chances (five).

Then again, the owner Jorgen Strand Larsen (£6.4m) may want to hold off on selling the goalless striker. Hampered by a lack of match fitness, he should be fine against Sunderland (a) and Burnley (h).

WEST HAM UNIT

Meanwhile, West Ham United hope the rise of a new manager can reverse a poor start that has seen them as the third worst team in terms of goals (six) and big chances (10).

Next up are three home games out of four. There will be a temptation to punt on the playmaking penalty taker Lucas Paqueta (£5.9m), but a talisman Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) played 90 minutes and somehow managed to score three goals. Even Crysencio Summerville (£5.5m) is a different cry.

EVERTON

Merseyside investments are also recommended. If the short drive to Man City is navigable, when Jack Grealish (£6.9m) is ineligible, covering Everton with him or Idiman Ndima (£6.5m) brings out the potential.

LIVERPOOL

As for the defending champions, they are second in the league standings, third in shots (103) and third in goals (13) and big chances (19).

In front of the Spaniard, Jurrien Wood (£5.9 million) and Riccardo Calafuri (£5.7m) dominates individual defenders for tries and xG. They joined Crystal Palace Daniel Munoz (£5.6m) on most penalty area shots (nine), while Gabriel Magalhaes (£6.3m) outperformed its peers in terms of major opportunities (two).

CHELSEA

While injuries are a constant problem for Chelsea, at least it will happen Trevoh Chalobah (£5.1m) returned from suspension in Gameweek 8.

No other defender was better than his three big chances, and he was also fourth in attempts (eight). Maybe a goalkeeper Robert Sanchez (£4.9m) is the preferred route for coverage.

BRIGHTON + HOVE ALBION

His former club joins the Blues in stopping the fourth most shots on target (22). But no clean sheet has been completed in the opening weeks. Surely something is due?

What’s also impressive is that only Arsenal and Newcastle United prevented fewer big chances (nine). That’s why Enabler is cheap Joe Rodon (£4.0 million) and Gabriel Gudmundsson (£4.0m) could be useful against Burnley and West Ham.
