Reading FC is sold before them, but with the new owner Rob Couhig gets his feet strongly under the table there are many questions that fans are waiting for answers.
The new reading chairman displayed in the latest episode of Tilehurst End Podcast with Ben Thomas and Ross Webber to answer some burning questions – and you can listen to the full episode here or below – but because you will be very aware of football in Berkshire has long held an interest in the women’s team.
Until now there is no news about what might happen to the team that is currently under the treatment of Reading FC Community Trust. You will remember last summer there was a last trencher’s offer to save the team with trust, just like the former owner of Dai Yongge would add to the list of his teams that had fallen on the side of the road in his watch.
With a question led by Webber, Podcast can spend a little time discussing the future of reading FC Women – produced below with good permission from the end of Tilehurst.

Ross Webber (RW): I am a big fan of women’s soccer. I watched Louisville racing at NWSL and I read some of their financial items last year, and I know that some clubs have raised their income last year, clearly with investment as well.
But I just want to know if [Reading] The women’s team is part of your plan, if not for this season, then at a certain point?
Rob Couhig (RC): We want to do more to help them. And we will be over time. I don’t know that we will go in and buy a team or become a supporter.
I a little like where with it [Reading FC Community] Believe and what he does. On the other hand, one of the benefits of the takeover of our club is that we get some beats at the door.
We have, and this is the part that frustrates and maybe I will not come back and review history-but with this one thing, we think we have someone who will come as the owner of the big club.
But it takes jurisdiction and has real money to put in women’s football. And when that did not happen, he was disappointed and had gone to a different place from his money. But I think there will be someone like that or some people like that.
RW: Makes sense. Yes. And I agree to enjoy having it in the community trusting the hands because I think it makes people pass through and into football at an early age. I think, you know, when they see it, they see the trust of the community, they see the game they can do at Slough, but also actually sessions and things that girls can do. It is always important for me to ensure that the women’s team is supported.
RC: We will do it. This is possible, I mean, I always tell people that I want to be honest. I want to do more, but I also have a priority list. We must arrange the first team and on the way. That must be a successful team.
Tide rises to lift all ships.
And, you can’t do everything at once. But that doesn’t mean .. I know [Reading FC co-CEO] Joe [Jacobsen] Tell me that we met some people next week about what we could do to help them. We will try and do what we can. “
Reading of course is a platform for British international players who have just retired Mary Earps and Fran Kirby. The club during the days of FA WSL hosted the best Welsh football talent from Jess Fislock to Rachel Rowe and British recorder Fara Williams.
