Maidenhead United has moved quickly to confirm the appointment of FC legend Dave Kitson.
A record breaker with Royals, Kitson will take over the manager’s work from Ed Jackson-Norris who announced his departure last week.
The statement released by Maidenhead said: “[We] Be happy to announce that former Premier League striker Dave Kitson had agreed to become Maidenhead United Women’s manager immediately.
“Dave enjoyed the opportunity to build the success of the new MuwFC.”
In the same update, Kitson said: “I am happy to be here. I hope to meet the players and help them in their development.”
Kitson’s own professional career began at Cambridge United and he reached a promotion to the Premier League with a 106 famous team in 2006. The following season he scored Royals’ first Premier League in the victory over Middlesbrough.
Recently, Kitson has trained children around reading through his own coaching academy and previously was the chairman at his first non-liga club, Arlsey Town.
Maidenhead United will search to increase their ranks this summer. Every player who is interested in becoming part of the new era in Magpies must contact Davis-Hussein’s question who is the head of the maidenhead women team at trasurer@mufcjuniors.co.uk.
