Liverpool completed their first transfer agreement from last week’s summer window, with an acquisition of £ 29.5 million from Bayer Leverkusen ‘Defender’ Jeremie Frimpong.

The Dutch international, who will function as a substitute for Trent Alexander-Arnold, arrived at Anfield with a five-year contract.

HISTORY

Born in Amsterdam, Frimpong moved to England with his family at the age of seven and began his career in the ranks of youth in Manchester City.

He failed to make a single senior performance for the club, however, encouraged his decision to move to the north of the border to Celtic in 2019, where he won three main awards before Leverkusen received his services.

Frimpong, meanwhile, made his debut with the Dutch senior national team in October 2023 and had 12 hats and one goal for his country to date.

Frimpong instead brings different quality, with the capacity to pass through players and develop in situations one by one on the field.

With the expected slot to continue playing four again, something might need to be changed, then.
