Lily Allen was snapped on a date in London with a mystery man, for the first time since the release of her album West End Girl.
The 40-year-old singer released her scathing album West End Girl in October, which explored the collapse of her marriage and divorce from Stranger Things star David Harbour.
Since the release of the album, Lily has confirmed her relationship status as a single woman, as she confirmed that she is ‘not in a relationship’ at the moment.
However, the singer may have made a foray into the dating world when she was spotted out for a private dinner with a mystery man at West London’s Michelin-starred restaurant, Dorian.
The pair were seen enjoying two hours of eating and drinking, and left the restaurant separately. It is reported that the mystery man may be writer Jonah Freud, who is the grandson of Rupert Murdoch and nephew of Lucian Freud.
This is the first time since her album was released that she has been seen on a date.
In June, Lily was spotted at a festival with James Norton, best known for his starring role in Happy Valley, but now also one of the favorites to play James Bond.
The pair were spotted at the Lido Festival in London, which featured acts including Massive Attack, Jamie xx, Charli XCX and London Grammar.
Body language expert Judi James told Metro she suspected the pair were on their first date.
“The body language here does suggest that this is a date, but it looks like a first date, when two people might still claim to be friends,” he explained at the time.
‘There are polite exchanges of smiles here, but they are undirected with smiles that appear shy as they both look down rather than exchange smiles with each other, using eye contact.’
A source told The Sun that the pair were ‘together all day and chatting and laughing together while watching Charli XCX’.
In her new album, Lily details the reasons behind their split, including how their open relationship was derailed when her husband ‘broke the rules’ in their agreement.
Lily sings of their arrangement: ‘be discreet and don’t be overt / must be with a stranger / there must be a fee.’ And it was named ‘Madeline’ – who was actually costume designer Natalie Tippet – after the woman David was involved with.
Racyly, Lily also sings about the Harbor apartment in New York, which she dubs the ‘Pussy Palace’, where she ‘found a shoebox full of handwritten letters /From heartbroken women wishing you could be better’.
The Not Fair singer also said she found a bag full of ‘sex toys, butt plugs and lube inside’, while criticizing Harbour’s ‘double life’.
Metro has reached out to Lily Allen’s representatives for comment.
