Maidenhead United took one step closer to retaining the title

Goals from Alex Dover and Izzy Stockton secured Maidenhead’s place in the semi-finals of the Berks & Bucks County Cup. They led at half-time with a 1-0 lead before Stockton scored to seal the win for the Magpies. Stockton added to his tally of 5 of 12 goals and his team moved one step closer to retaining their title.

Ascot will play New Bradwell St Peter on Tuesday night for a chance to book a place too.

Emma Green was among Slough Town’s goals in their 3-2 win at Arbor Park. The win moved the Rebels up to fifth in Division One North as they remained unbeaten in all competitions in November.

Goalkeeper Holly Robinson, Caversham United’s penalty shootout savior

Caversham United welcome Newport Pagnell Town Development to the hallowed ground of Mapledurham in the Berks & Bucks Women’s Cup. Scarlett Caddy and Katie Dearling both scored in the 90th minute but Newport also came through with two goals each, taking the game to penalties.

De ja vu for the Goats after facing Burghfield in the First Round and seeing the exact same result as this Quarter Final match. But their real hero was not Freya Jenkins who won the penalty, but rather Holly Robinson’s sensational header save.

Teammates Berkshire, Finchampstead and Windsor & Eton have also booked their places in the next round.
