Hok signed a pro deal with Bangladesh Premier League club Brothers Union

Combined Nations League Division One Woodley United have announced defender Kasper Hok has signed a professional contract in Bangladesh.

The 23-year-old centre-back will join Brothers Union in the Bangladesh Premier League where they are seventh out of ten teams after nine games this season.

The club is based south of the country’s capital, Dhaka, where they were formed in 1949. They were the country’s second division champions in 2023, earning promotion back to the top division after being relegated in 2021.

Brothers Union’s men’s first team squad is largely made up of Bangladesh-based players but Hok will be joined by American Sanjay Karim, Sweden’s Anik and Ashik Rahman as well as several players from Pakistan and Guinea in the squad.

Back in England, Woodley may be chasing a second promotion to Step 5 this season with an enviable league record, but that hasn’t stopped manager Jordan Blake wishing his former player all the best in his new adventure.

Blake, writing on Woodley United’s Facebook page said: “I am delighted to announce that Kasper Hok has signed his first professional contract in Bangladesh. This is testament to his hard work, attitude and efforts to develop as a footballer day by day.

After watching Kasper grow from a boy into a man over the last 3 seasons both on and off the field, I’m so glad we were able to play a small role in his journey. I truly believe he has an incredible career ahead of him, wherever it takes him. I would personally like to thank Kasper for everything he has done for the football club and always gives his all every time he wears this shirt.

“He leaves with our blessings and best wishes on an exciting step in his football career. Good luck Kasper, we are all rooting for you.”

In December, Hok was called up to play for the Bangladesh representative team as part of the 2025 AFB Latin-Bangla Super Cup against teams from Brazil and Argentina.
