You may have heard of the ‘Immediate Goals’ table that Joe loves so much. You can listen to his and Marc’s Fantasy Football Scout podcast of the same name. Now, Immediate Goals are here in article form!
Ahead of Gameweek 11 of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL), these Members Area statistics identify a few things underachieving players who look ‘due’ to score goals and/or assists.
Of course, we’ll try to judge whether they’re unlucky, experiencing rare errors, or just not that good.
LAST WEEK’S SUCCESS
Saturday brought mixed news Viktor Gyokeres‘ (£9.0m) owner. He scored for the first time in six games, which could have kept him in the table this week, but a first-half withdrawal meant the Arsenal forward had just seven shots in the period of our investigation.
We also estimate some Morgan Gibbs-White (£7.3m) excitement. Nottingham Forest had scored just one goal in seven league games, but his header ended the humiliation.
Mohamed Salah (£14.2 million) and Bruno Fernandes (£8.9m) appeared on both tables and was duly delivered. The Egyptian scored for the second game in a row, while the Manchester United playmaker set up City Ground’s opener.
Also helpful is Phil Foot (£8.0 million) and Bruno Guimaraes (£6.6 million).
IMMEDIATE GOALS
The first table shows the accumulated players at least eight shots over the last four Gameweeks, but scored a goal no more than one goal.
