We’ve put together an early draft of our Scout Picks for Gameweek 10 of the Fantasy Premier League (FPL).
Selection will be finalized near Saturday’s deadline, determined by upcoming Scout Troop nominations and pre-game press conferences.
However, this initial selection at least provides an idea of the players who will be considered.
ABOUT THE PICKS SCOUT ‘BUS TEAM’
As usual, there are certain limitations to our squad:
- Budget £83.0m for our starting XI
- The overall squad cap is £100.0 million
- No more than three players per team
MATCH WEEK 10 GAME

Above: Gameweek’s 10 matches ranked by difficulty in our Season Markers.
The game at Anfield was difficult to call, as both sides were in opposing form. Liverpool have lost four times in a row, and Aston Villa have the same number of consecutive wins.
Tottenham Hotspur v Chelsea could go either way, while second-placed Bournemouth are having fun but must visit Manchester City.
YOUTH’S POSSIBILITIES

Meanwhile, Arsenal and Newcastle United have exciting visits to Burnley and West Ham United, but this comes just days before the Champions League clash. That could mean rotation.
Gabriel Magalhaes (£6.4 million) and Jurrien Wood (£6.0m), a pair of FPL’s leading defenders, should still play at Turf Moor. The Gunners are aiming for a fourth successive clean sheet, having conceded just five big chances in nine games.

As for Newcastle, Dan Burns (£5.1m) feels like a safe starter while another left-back is injured. West Ham continue to concede goals from set pieces, so the 6ft 6in aerial threat can produce from either flank.
Defending with the Magpies high, the availability of four wingers makes up for it Nick Woltemade (£7.5m) the safest route in their attack. He smashed the woodwork with a golden opener on Saturday, denying him a fifth goal in six league games.
Blankers in other forms are Erling Haaland (£14.7m) – remains the only Man City player to score more than one goal in the league. He felt non-negotiable at the moment.
Nonetheless, elsewhere Bruno Fernandes (£8.9m) played on penalties and was solid for the defensive contribution award (DefCon), it was hard to ignore his teammates Bryan Mbeumo (£8.1m) currently. The latest goal at Liverpool was followed by Saturday’s brace against Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 26-year-old may be the second-best midfielder in the FPL in terms of points scored, but he is the number one player in his position in terms of attempts (23) and shots on target (12). A trip to Nottingham Forest seemed like the perfect time.
IN CONTENTION

Determining Arsenal’s striker is indeed difficult. Both of them Bukayo Saka (£10.0 million) and Viktor Gyokeres (£9.0m) failed in a row – five of them, with his midfield partner coming off in the 65th minute to run down his game.
On the contrary, it is true God bless (£7.6m) who won Sunday’s game against Crystal Palace, his goal resulting in his fourth strike in six games.
Talking about his former club, the Eagles’ 19-game unbeaten run in all competitions was followed by three defeats from four games. However, a good series of matches starting at home to Brentford will most likely be a certainty Jean-Philippe Mateta (£7.7m) will be the hugely popular Gameweek 10 replacement for Gyokeres or Joao Pedro (£7.5 million).

Only Haaland has more attempts (29), shots on target (16) and expected goal involvements (xGI, 8.37) than him, while the full-backs Daniel Munoz (£5.6m) is the league’s best defender for the last two. As this Picks XI Bus is comfortably priced at under £83.0 million, this Colombian Bus is affordable luxury.
Bernd Leno (£5.0m) is in goal as he hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers, and we don’t yet know the status of the injured defender Joachim Andersen (£4.5 million). Issa Diop (£4.4 million) could be representative.
At Everton, Indian education (£6.5m) is a versatile midfielder. He took the penalty, only to be beaten by Muhammad Jerusalem (£6.8m) for take-ons (46), ranks number one in the league for expected assists (xA, 2.16), loves shooting, and has presented the DefCon prize on three occasions. The winger’s problem is that Beto (£5.3m) continues to stir things up!
LONGER SHOT

This time, Ndiaye faced a solid Sunderland defense Nordi Mukiele (£4.1m) currently seems the best option.
Raul Jimenez (£6.2m), facing his former club Wolves has potential, having bagged an assist at the weekend. But there are several attackers ahead of him in the pecking order.
It’s also wise to never rule out Antoine Semenyo (£8.1 million). Sunday’s quiet performance was only his third blank in nine games, and Man City’s back line is nothing to fear.
Finally, Yankuba Minteh (£6.0m) is an interesting difference. Nobody has had more penalty area touches (63) so far, and he got an assist in Matchday 9. Brighton hosts Leeds United.
