Euro 2025 UEFA women started on Wednesday 2 July with Switzerland to host the 14th edition of the competition. This tournament lasted for three weeks in eight cities, including Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lucerne, Sion, St Gallen, and Zurich.
There were eight former Women Reading FC players who represent three different countries in European tournaments, all competed to secure a highly coveted trophy won by Britain and former nobleman Mary Earps and Fran Kirby in 2023.
Belgium
Justine Vanhaevermaet is Solo Belgium representing a former nobleman, after playing to read between 2021 and 2023. The midfielder made 39 appearances and was known for his threat in the air using his height for profit, scoring 6 goals to read. He has represented the Red Flames senior squad since 2012 with 7 goals in 67 appearances.

Wales

Wales will play in their first major championship after fulfilling the requirements in December 2024 by defeating the Republic of Ireland 2-1. Reading is always well filled with the cohort of Welsh players along the way back to former manager Jayne Ludlow in 2014.
The Welsh 2025 squad was filled with former royals with no less than six players displayed including defenders Gemma Evans and Lily Woodham, Charlie Estcourt and Angharad James-Turner holding stable in midfield, Rachel Rowe who appeared for The Strikers and Welsh Legends (at least we thought SO) Jess Fislock Returing for Nin Nin to Nin. Hexad teammates have 317 collective performances for reading and 534 for dragons. Fislock might stand out for the team with 162 of that appearance and 47 goals for his name.
