The South League Premier Division of the South Bracknell City is under the transfer embargo, Chairman of Kayne Steinborn-Busse has revealed.
In ‘apologies to fans’, Robins said he wanted to bring clarity and straighten out why some new players and the signing of the loan had not been signed or seen on the field.
In a long post to social media, Mr. Steinborn-Busse said the team step 3 had missed the financial reporting agreement during the summer, and that the embargo would be revoked on Friday, September 26.
Chairman’s statements and apologies to our fans
I want to bring clarity and straighten, because I know some fans are wondering why certain new players and signing loans who have been with the squad in the last few weeks have not been signed or played.
Because of administrative supervision, Bracknell Town has been under the transfer embargo since the arrival of our new management team. This is caused by the submission of financial reporting agreements that are missed during the summer. As soon as we realized, we acted quickly to solve the problem. However, key personnel in the southern league are on annual leave, which postponed the process. I fully accept the responsibility of this situation – a mistake for the archiving that is late is in me.
All documents have now been approved, but the League imposed an embargo for seven days further, which appointed this Friday, September 26.
Because of the embargo, we cannot register new players or expand or approve the signing of the loan, even if they have practiced with us or are ready to join. Towards the weekend, we only have 12 matching team players who are suitable. Our appeal to sign an emergency loan player on Friday was rejected. After the weekend match, we went down to 9 fit players, with two more final fitness tests. The league held an emergency meeting yesterday and temporarily lifted the embargo, allowing us to sign non-contract players from step 3 below, but only for the match last night.
I know this is frustrated for everyone, especially seeing new faces that have the potential to sit with me during this new match but can’t play. With the embargo lifting this Friday, we were finally able to register a new signing and strengthen the squad according to plan.
Thank you for your patience & understanding.
