Berks County pulled off an FA Vase surprise as Reading City and Windsor & Eton progressed

Berks County inflicted defeat in the Second Round of the FA Vase when they beat Step 5 Sutton Athletic 4-3 on penalties.

There are four Football teams in Berkshire remaining after Tadley Calleva were beaten 2-1 at Punjab United.

Berks County have now emulated their 2021/22 run which saw Swords reach the Third Round at the first attempt after beating Southern Counties Eastern Football League Premier Division side Sutton Athletic 4-3 on penalties.

Reading City’s best run continued after a goal from Mo Ceesay earned a 1-0 win over Erith & Belvedere while Windsor & Eton equaled last season’s record with a 2-0 win at home to Bearsted.

Burnham completed their Third Round qualifying quarter with a 4-3 penalty shootout win at Hythe Town.
