The second series of The Celebrity Traitors now feels very real, as several stars have arrived for filming – the latest being Miranda Hart.
It was announced this weekend that the comedian would enter a castle in the Scottish Highlands to play a showbiz edition of Claudia Winkleman’s twisted game show.
Miranda, 53, joins 20 other famous faces, including British TV icons such as Maya Jama and Ross Kemp, musician James Blunt and actor Richard E Grant.
It marks the return to television of the beloved soap star, who disappeared from the limelight for five years due to his battle with chronic illness.
During that time, the famously private actress also got married, surprising fans with the reveal in October 2024.
Although she initially kept her husband’s identity out of the spotlight, they have been spotted together several times since, including today as he accompanied her for three weeks of filming in Inverness.
Who is Miranda Hart’s husband?
Miranda is married to 60 year old Richard Fairs.

While his wife has appeared on shows watched by millions and rub shoulders with top artists, Richard’s work is very different, as he works as a surveyor and owns a company called The Building Consultancy.
He and Miranda first met during lockdown in 2020 when he was cleaning mold from his house. One thing led to another, and Richard proposed next to the lake in Kew Gardens, West London, causing her to immediately ‘cry’ and say ‘yes’ before he had even finished speaking.
They married at St Peter and St Paul’s church in Hambledon in July 2024, with The Sun reporting that they celebrated their nuptials with a Hawaiian-themed party.
It wasn’t until months later that the marriage became public knowledge, as Miranda wrote in her book, I’m Not Completely Honest With You: ‘He’s not my boyfriend. He’s my husband. We married when I was 51.’
Choosing not to publish his name, Miranda refers to his partner as ‘Mold Man’ or ‘The Boy from Bristol’ throughout his memoirs, describing his appearance as ‘the look of gray hair on a fine-featured man’.
She debuted her wedding ring on The One Show, then thanked her followers for their congratulatory messages, saying in a video that didn’t show her face: ‘I just want to say thank you so much for the beautiful messages.
“I have my best friend to do life with, and it’s amazing.”
She then high-fived her project manager husband, who was not on camera.
Why did Miranda disappear from the public spotlight?
The comedy queen revealed in 2024 that she had been chronically ill for three years.
Explaining further, he wrote in his memoir that he had been diagnosed with Lyme disease: ‘Probably when I was about 14 or 15, I got the tick-borne disease… and that’s when my symptoms started.’
Ultimately, Miranda’s health problems left her bedridden and homebound with ME/CFS, and her condition ‘wreaked havoc with [her] immune system’, causing viral infections such as shingles to be continually reactivated.
It took decades to get a proper diagnosis, and doctors long dismissed the symptoms as anxiety and agoraphobia.
Do you think Miranda would make a better Traitor or Loyal?
On finally relaunching his career, Miranda told the BBC in late 2024 that, ‘after you’re bedridden with an illness caused by exhaustion, you really miss life.’
“I really want to get back to the silliness now,” he added. ‘I miss the studio floor, I miss the laughter. I don’t have any ideas yet, they haven’t sunk in yet. But I miss playing around.’
Who else is doing Celebrity Traitor season 2?
Series 2 of Celebrity Traitor marks Miranda’s first major TV role for many years, with previous appearances limited to brief cameos in the likes of Comic Relief or Strictly Come Dancing.

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
